Saptamaatrika

Written and Directed by Vedagiri G.

Invited by Asian Civilisation Museum (ACM), Kalari Academy staged Saptamaatrika, at the Light to Night Festival 2024. Inspired from artefacts at ACM on the Hindu mythology, Saptamaatrika is the story of the celestial battle between the 7 Mother Goddesses and the Asura clan. The play showcased intricate Silambam movements and weapons in the different fight sequences.
