IMMORTAL
IMMORTAL was Kalari Academy’s inaugural production, staged in September 2024. It delves into the heart of ancient Indian mythology focusing on a revered figure, believed to be one of the first disciples of martial arts traditions. IMMORTAL takes audiences on a captivating journey through time. It explores profound themes like the sacred bond between a guru and disciple, the quest for redemption & purpose, and the sacrifices one might make to achieve a harmonious balance in the cosmos.
The ancient Indian martial arts of Silambam, Kalaripayattu & Adimurai were woven into the very fabric of the play, adding a powerful visual layer to the exploration of these complex ideas.
